We’re not going to pretend Columbus is overrun with female riders right now — we’re not. The majority of our customers are men, which reflects the wider motorcycle touring market. But that’s exactly why we think it’s worth saying clearly: if you’re a woman thinking about joining a Columbus tour, whether solo or with a partner, you will be welcome, included and looked after from the first phone call to the last mile.

Ride at Your Own Pace
There’s no pressure to keep up or prove anything. GPX files are loaded into your sat nav so you can ride at whatever pace suits you and join the group at coffee stops and lunch. If you want to ride with Paul at the front, great. If you prefer your own space, that’s fine too.
Touring Solo? No Problem
Several women have joined Columbus tours as solo riders — without a partner or friend along. It can feel daunting before you go, but the feedback is consistently the same: within a day you feel like you’ve known the group for years. Paul looks out for everyone individually, solo riders especially.

Two Bikes, Two Riders, One Amazing Trip
Sue and Richard joined the Norway tour on their own KTMs — two experienced riders who wanted the adventure without the planning headache. Columbus provided detailed GPX files and itinerary packs showing daily routes with scenic stops, coffee and cake stops, and all hotel details. Some fab hotel choices including a surprise hotel — no spoilers.
