Why Choose Our Sardinia and Corsica Motorcycle Tour?
Our Sardinia and Corsica motorcycle tour is the ultimate 15-day autumn adventure combining the most dramatic roads in southern France with the legendary island riding of Sardinia and Corsica — two destinations that consistently top the bucket lists of serious motorcyclists. These islands are home to roads that have been used for decades as the proving grounds for motorcycle manufacturers launching new bikes, and for good reason. The scenery is jaw-dropping, the tarmac is immaculate, and the traffic is light.
This carefully planned Sardinia and Corsica motorcycle tour features expert guide Paul Winsor, small group sizes of maximum 12 riders, two island rest days both close to the beach, and premium accommodation throughout. With three ferry crossings providing a seamless island-to-island experience, this tour delivers an entirely different flavour to our Alpine and Balkan adventures — combining wild, remote mountain roads with stunning Mediterranean coastline, ancient hilltop villages, and the kind of riding freedom that only island touring can offer.
The outbound journey through France is far from just a transit — you’ll cross the gorges and National Parks of the Massif Central, ride the Tarn Gorge, cross the iconic Millau Viaduct, and pass through the hauntingly preserved village of Oradour-sur-Glane. On the return, the Route Napoléon, Gorge du Verdon and Jura Mountains complete an itinerary that is rich in both riding quality and cultural depth.

You leave the UK via Eurotunnel from Folkestone and head south through France, overnighting in Chartres in the shadow of one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in Europe. The following day takes you through the wetlands and forests of the Parc naturel régional de la Brenne and the rolling hills of the Limousin before reaching Limoges. A short detour brings you to Oradour-sur-Glane, the village frozen in time since 1944 — a sobering and powerful stop before your adventure south truly begins.
The Millau Viaduct — the world’s tallest bridge
Day three heads into the Cévennes National Park and the wild Tarn Gorge before arriving at Millau, where the views of the breathtaking Millau Viaduct — the tallest bridge in the world — set the tone for the grandeur to come. Day four brings you through the Cévennes National Park, before dropping down to the Mediterranean port of Toulon where you board your overnight ferry to Sardinia.
Waking up on the ferry to the sight of Sardinia’s rugged coastline is a moment that never gets old. Heading down the west coast we then cross the centre of Sardinia to our base for two nights on the wild Ogliastra east coast — one of Sardinia’s most beautiful and unspoilt stretches of shoreline, with crystal-clear turquoise water. Your rest day here is a chance to explore the beach and soak up the sun. Or take the ride-out day option covering some of Sardinia’s finest motorcycle roads — through the Ogliastra hinterland, and into the Gennargentu National Park, the island’s rugged mountainous heart.
Sardinia’s SS125 — one of Europe’s finest motorcycle roads
You ride north via the spectacular SS125 and across the centre of the island to the island’s northern tip, where the next day a short ferry hop across the Strait of Bonifacio brings you into Corsica. You’ll base yourself on the beautiful northwest coast for two nights — another beach rest day or a full ride-out day exploring the northern peninsular on some of the finest roads in Europe. The D81 hugs the dramatic west coast above Porto, the D84 crosses the Col de Vergio through the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse, and the D80 traces the wild northeastern coastline — roads that are regularly used for motorcycle manufacturer launches and press tests. It’s easy to see why.
Following day you ride south to Ajaccio, the birthplace of Napoleon, where your second overnight ferry carries you back to the French mainland at Toulon. The return journey north is anything but ordinary. Day twelve takes you into the spectacular Gorge du Verdon and our overnight stop, at the starting point of the legendary Route Napoléon — Napoleon’s dramatic march north after landing at Golfe-Juan in 1815. The next You’ll ride sections of the N85 as it sweeps through the Pre-Alps up onto the Vercors plateau to your next overnight stop near Grenoble.
Calvi — our base on Corsica’s beautiful northwest coast
Heading further north through Parc naturel régional de Chartreuse and Parc naturel régional du massif des Bauges past Lake Annecy finishing the day in Jura Mountains a landscape of high plateaus, dense forests, and sweeping valley roads that are often overlooked but consistently deliver exceptional riding. From here, you head north through Lorraine and Champagne to your last evening in Verdun, the site of one of the First World War’s most defining and devastating battles. Your final days ride continues to take us north east and back to our original starting point, and our afternoon Eurotunnel crossing back to the UK.
